The Convertible Drop Stand and Boom Arm from Savage is a versatile support that allows you to use it as a light stand or a boom arm. The stand’s essential benefit is in its auto-extending and collapsing legs with air cushioning that allows for quick and easy repositioning of light fixtures when moving between groups and in tight spaces. Simply place the stand on the ground to extend its legs for use, and lift the stand up to retract them automatically for placement elsewhere.
The four-section stand rises to a maximum height of 12′ and has two air-cushioned sections that gently lower valuable equipment when making height adjustments. The stand has a stable 32″ footprint, folds down to 47″, and handles a maximum of 10 lb. The cleverly designed Convertible Drop Stand has another valuable feature—a boom arm. The arm has a maximum length of 60″ and a minimum usable length of 8″. It will support up to 5 lb. Savage has provided an empty sandbag for a counterweight that you can fill with heavy material of your choosing. A carrying case is also included for storage and transport.
